3 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Focus On Viral Content

Fact: There are over 21 pages  in Google Search results, talking about “How To Create Viral Content.”

The problem is, none of these page results tell you exactly how viral content can bring you the most critical metric in your business.

Turning Your Website Visitors into Customers.

The worst thing you can do is spend a considerable amount of your time creating something that would eventually fall flat on its face in the end.

All the money and time wasted without getting any ROI for it.

And if you’re marketing a Website as a Service (WaaS) solution, this kind of strategy isn’t going to be useful for your business.

As someone who has been in the industry for over 20 years, generated tens of millions of unique visitors and provided our clients with the same results that only the top fortune 500 corporations have had achieved. We’ll share with you why this doesn’t work.

#1  Building Business Relationships Take Time

Like any  relationship, you have to invest a lot of time. it’s not easy nor quick. You can’t expect someone to marry you the first time they met you. If you like someone, you have to ask for their number first. In this case, it’s not much different for customers.

The same goes with businesses. Treat them with something FREE, valuable and actionable. Help them out with whatever problem they are encountering. Be a friend to your prospect clients. And when they’re ready, and you’ve won them over, they’ll be more likely to do business with you.

#2 People Buy From People They Trust

Trust is something you don’t gain immediately, especially from someone who just met you.  No matter how affordable your offer is, people won’t buy from you if they don’t trust you. The goal is to earn their trust as soon as possible. The good news is, there’s a way to do this.

Again, viral content is just one strategy to bring visitors to your website, but it’s not meant to make people buy from you.

#3 There’s No Such Thing as a Magic Bullet in Marketing

If anyone claims they have a magic bullet to making conversions, run as fast as you can. No single strategy will cut the process shorter for your website visitors to become instant buyers of your product.

As other marketers would say, it would take around 6-8 points of contact or more depending on your strategy before a prospect becomes a customer. Your goal is to create opportunities to make those points of contact happen. Again, it takes a lot of time and a lot of work before you can achieve that sale. It will require a lot of effort, but it’s not impossible.

Hi, I’m Michael Short, creator of WaaS.PRO, and the founder/CEO of Blitz Industries, Inc.  Before we started WaaS.PRO, my team and I spent many years in the agency business and what seems like THOUSANDS of hours on our own WaaS network. We’ve learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t when it comes to marketing and we’ve carried this experience over to marketing websites-as-a-service (WaaS) solutions.  Whatever issue you’re facing, there’s a good chance that we’ve seen it before. We started WaaS.PRO to share our experiences with you (the good, the bad and the ugly.) Our focus with these articles is to provide practical, actionable advice that will hopefully have a measurable impact on you and your WaaS business.
